Porkapalooza is a relatively new festival by Edmonton’s standards, but in the eyes of locals, families and foodies alike, it has become a favourite. Since kicking off in 2014, Porkapalooza has escalated to become one of the top BBQ festivals in Canada, earning recognition for its unique mix of classic BBQ competition, music, family activities and a celebration for the love of food. It offers a glimpse into the art and culture of BBQ coupled with a festival atmosphere, while celebrating the family values and tradition that are unanimous with the world of cooking.

The Porkapalooza BBQ Festival Society works towards ending hunger by supporting a number of charities through food related activities. Porkapalooza also supports AdaptAbilities through the Kid’s Zone area that is set up at the festival every year helping children of all abilities enjoy the event. Other amazing organizations that Porkapalooza partners with includes Edmonton’s Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) and Ronald McDonald House.
